Meso therapy is a technique that uses very fine needles to inject substances like vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts
Rejuvenates and tightens the skin, as well as remove excess fat.
These are injected into the middle layer of the skin (The Mesoderm, hence the name ‘Meso’ Therapy).
As a result, the skin responds at a cellular level to the various products. Dr. Michel Pistor originally developed the technique in 1952 to relieve pain. Currently, it is used widely in Aesthetic Medicine for various indications.
Vitamins, minerals, plant extracts, stem cells, hormones and growth factors are some examples of substances used for skin rejuvenation, antiaging, pigmentation and hair loss. Other products like Phosphatidylcholine (PC) and Deoxycholic acid (DA) are widely used to reduce localized fat deposits with mild adverse effects. This is called Mesolipo.
The treatment involves multiple sessions and results vary depending on the indication and the products used.
A numbing cream is applied prior and multiple small injections are administered to the area.
The slight ‘bumps’ formed by the injected product may remain up to 24 hours and will resolve on their own.
Common side effects are pain, Swelling and bruising. These are temporary and will resolve in a few days.
