Psoriasis

Lichen Planus

• Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) is a distressing condition.
• Caused by excessive sweat production due to a dysfunction of the sweat glands.

• Common conditions affecting the nails are ingrown toenail, usually seen on the big toes of the feet.
• Associated with other conditions like Psoriasis, Lichen planus, Atopic Dermatitis, and nutritional deficiencies.

• Keloids are a type of raised scar tissue caused by hypergrowth of cells during the healing of a wound.
• Can appear fleshy and pigmented.
• Also associated with other symptoms like itching, pain and bleeding.

• Corns are hard, painful areas of skin that often develop on the feet in response to pressure or friction.
• Distinct, often hard centres surrounded by inflamed skin.
• Shaped like a cone with the pointy tip projecting into the skin.
• Painful corns need to be addressed, as it can hamper the lifestyle of the patient.

• Warts can occur anywhere in the body.
• Common areas are palms, soles, face, around the nails and the genital area.
• Can be flat or can protrude above the skin.
• Often brown in colour and rough in texture.

• Skin tags (acrochordons) are small protrusions of skin that are soft and fleshy.
• Mostly harmless but can cause cosmetic and functional disfigurement depending on its size and location.

• Dandruff is a broad term used to refer to scaly, itchy, irritated scalp.
• The scientific name for dandruff is Seborrheic Dermatitis or Seborrhoea Capitis.

• Skin infections can present in various ways like redness, blistering, oozing etc.
• Caused by the invasion of the skin by pathogens like bacteria, fungi and viruses.

• Eczema is the commonly used term for a very common skin allergy called Atopic Dermatitis (AD).
• Initially presents itself as patches of skin that become rough and inflamed with blisters.
• These lesions are intensely itchy and can ooze and bleed (Acute AD).
